Beautiful South Double Award

On Tuesday 12th December 2023, The Royal team was delighted to be awarded with not one but two prestigious Beautiful South awards.

Building on the previous year’s success, our Geranium Restaurant earned Silver in the ‘Restaurant Of The Year’ category.

Then, if that wasn’t enough, The Royal achieved a further Bronze award in the ‘Large Hotel Of The Year’ category, which recognises exemplary service, a top-quality fine dining experience and a stay that guests will remember for years to come.

The Beautiful South awards judge the best in hospitality across nine counties in the South East of England. To be recognised as the third best large hotel and second best restaurant across Hampshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, West and East Sussex, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire & the Isle of Wight is an unbelievable achievement by our whole team.

We are proud to continually build a team of talented young chefs who are bursting with inspiration and ideas, along with the very best service from everyone within our front of house teams, who achieved a 5 star AA score for service and hospitality earlier this year.

A big thank you to our wonderful guests for supporting our hotel, and making 2023 one of our most successful in the hotel’s 190 year history. We hope to see many more of our loyal royals here again in 2024.
